Dear Tenants,
You might have noticed a problem with a gas supply, and the police are investigating the house. It looks like someone stole the gas meter on the 3rd floor, and no one knows why and what actually happened, but the gas provider (PPAS – Pražská Plynárenská a.s.) had to switch off the gas supply for the whole house.
The workers of the provider came to the house immediately, and they renewed the gas supply in the house, but all the individual gas taps were closed for safety reasons. They will open them for all the tenants, but they must be at home. The technicians must check if the gas gadgets work properly after the break.
Translation of the document on the door:
Dear customers on 24.2. at 13:30
the employees of the company Pražská Plynárenská Distribuce a.s. restored the gas supply to the building
For customers present at the time of the intervention, their consumption equipment was put into operation.
For customers who were not present, gas was introduced to the gas meter valves.
Thank you for your cooperation in restoring the gas supply to the building
For any further information, please contact a PPSD employee or a dispatch center employee by calling 1239
Basically it means, that if you don’t have your gas working yet, you need to contact them or me and say that your gas doesn’t work. They will give you another time option when they come and start the gas devices in your apartment. They need to check the device in person when they renew the supply.
So, let me know if your gas devices don’t work.
I would also like to note that just because we have new doorbells that allow you to let anyone in doesn’t mean you have to actually let anyone in. I would like to ask you to carefully consider who you open your front door to when someone rings the doorbell. Letting unauthorized people into your home can have fatal consequences.
Thank you Sarka
